  Delivery In The North West
Following an extensive piece of research, one of the most fundamental gaps in retaining and increasing the numbers of females in the industry is a lack of ‘job-ready’ personal skills along with the structure to facilitate their networking capability. With this in mind the project will be creating a strong regional network of support

groups, central to which will be a series of regular CPD training events. Each sub regional network meeting will incorporate half a day of training around a personal development issue. These will be delivered on a rolling programme throughout the year and will be open to all, not just the Network members.

Topics will include:

• Dealing with Difficult People
• Leadership
• Creating a Positive Image
• Time Management
• Working with Confidence

Ensuring you develop these skills can not only enhance your career prospects, but will also ensure that you are more self confident and effective in the workplace. For more information on the specific network events go to the Events section.

Following the training, the Construction Action Network will allow women from across the industry to meet and share experiences with each other. Using an action learning format, the groups will be encouraged to share individual issues and determine their own solutions based on the advice and experience of the rest of the group. It provides a much needed network for women to use to develop supportive relationships, and provide a mentoring service to match up members who wish to become mentors/mentees.
