Elevate East Lancashire are leading a long term housing market renewal programme for East Lancashire which is aimed at providing a long term solution to the decline in the housing market and ensuring that the quality of life and living standards are improved for the local population.

Elevate’s Constructing the Future (CtF) project seeks to develop has brought together stakeholders from education, employment, social inclusion and business support agencies from East Lancashire and the wider region. Its specific aims are (i) To increase the supply of apprentices and qualified people to work within the East Lancashire construction industry and specifically the Elevate supply chain; (ii) To grow the construction sector in East Lancashire and improve its ability to compete regionally and nationally - especially to assist local firms to secure local Elevate sponsored work; (iii) To promote economic inclusion within the construction industry, to include increased local employment on projects within the Elevate region.

Elevate was working to promote greater representation of the local community in its workforce by a series of mentoring and supportive activities. This includes the Youthbuild project which seeks to place, people from the BME community, women and young people at risk of offending into work.
